Biography:
Kerri Huber, RN, MSN, obtained a master’s of science in nursing from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. She has been inducted into both the Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Societies. She is also a Johns Hopkins Critical Event Preparedness And Response team member. She joined the Department of Infection Control in 2011, and became the manager in 2013.

Kerri was certified in her specialty in July 2013 and has completed the LeanSigma program and been awarded a Greenbelt certification. Prior to then, she was a bedside nurse in the Burn Unit where she was the chair of the Shared Governance Committee and awarded multiple stars for service excellence. As a nurse in the Burn Unit, she developed a Family Handbook to educate the families of burn patients. She is the chair of the Hand Hygiene Committee and has a strong interest in education and performance improvement that will increase patient safety. She is a regional APIC board member and has a strong interest in education and performance improvement that will increase patient safety.
