Biography:
Jackie Steinberg, RN, BSN, MPH, earned an undergraduate degree in microbiology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, a master of public health in epidemiology from Boston University and a bachelors of nursing from Johns Hopkins University. She interned at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and served as U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana, Africa. Additionally, she worked as a doula through the Johns Hopkins Birth Companions program and conducted research under a nursing faculty member. Jackie worked as a bedside nurse on the Progressive Care Unit at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland before joining the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Department of Infection Control in February 2014. She is currently working toward getting her Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
